Dining by the sea
Are you attracted already? Some of you might already know that this place is called Golden Palm Tree in Sepang Gold Coast. This luxurious and secluded resort has just been launched earlier this year and it’s usually NOT open to public. You need to be guest of the resort in order to be able to enter this amazing 5-star resort by the sea. Therefore, privacy is guaranteed.
Towards the restaurant
However, for the Ramadan month ONLY, the public are allowed to enter the premises of Golden Palm Tree if they are going for the Ramadan Buffet in their restaurant. Isn’t this a great opportunity for you to explore the place without having to splurge on a room? That’s what I did!

Table for us!
The theme for Ramadan buffet at Golden Palm Tree is Malindo Festival by the Beach, where Malindo stands for Malaysia and Indonesia. So yes! You can expect some Indonesian cuisine in this glorious buffet spread. 🙂 Since the food spread is huge, I’m just going to let the pictures do the talking from now! Shall we? 🙂
Whole roasted lamb with herbs
All kinds of bread – ask for the white chocolate bread, out of this world!
Sauteed fresh prawns
Stir fried potatoes
Broccoli and mushroom
Chicken and prawn stay
In the midst of dining by the sea, there’s a Filipino band playing all types of songs for us. They are so very talented! They played English, Malay and even Chinese songs! 🙂

After all that food, let’s move on to desserts! The dessert spread was one of the most colourful that I’ve seen! So many types of cakes and colors, they looked almost too pretty to be eaten. 🙂
Love this coconut kuih – what’s it called already?
Marshmallows – perfect with chocolate!
Bread and butter pudding – awesome
Banana cake – seldom see this in buffet
Strawberry cheese cake <3
Cute green cake
Chocolate cake – very rich and yummy!
Cheese cake – my favourite!
The gorgeous spread of food was all thanks to the Executive Chef Samsol and special Indonesian Chef Hendro Soejadi.

And after the heavy meal, one could opt to sit outside the restaurant, just by the pool, to enjoy the sea breeze and the amazing night view. Just look at the view below, it’s so picturesque I could just laze on the comfy couches the whole night! Notice how the pool was lit up like stars? How romantic!

Are you blown away by the amazing Golden Palm Tree yet? I was! I didn’t know such a pretty place existed only within 1 hour from the heart of Malaysia! It’s indeed perfect for a short weekend getaway, don’t you think so? If you really want to explore the resort without staying in the villas, this is the chance! Go for the Ramadan buffet which costs only RM89++ during the special month of Ramadan. For that price, you don’t get only good food, but an unforgettable experience. 🙂
