It was the last day of our trip to China and we began the day in a somewhat somber mood. We were already at Hangzhou and staying at Starway Hotel again.
We loved the place too much! Come breakfast time, we distracted ourselves by playing pool while waiting for food to be served. I was and still am a lousy pool player, so in the end it was a match between the guys.

After breakfast, we went back to the Qinghefang Ancient Street in Hangzhou for a final round of shopping. This was the same market that we went to during our first day.

I saw a horse statue in the middle of the street and took a picture with it. Little did I know, one had to pay RMB3 just to take a picture with it! Apparently there was a piece of paper stuck on the body of the horse saying that one had to pay RMB3 just for pictures. Of course, I, who didn’t know Chinese, wasn’t aware of it. And guess what? Right after the picture, some loud lady just appeared out of nowhere, running towards me and shouting something about 3 dollars. I just looked at her blankly even though I sort of understood what she meant with her body language.
She was standing there waiting for me to pay her, I guess, but since I was still stoned, she just said some vulgar words and left. *LOL*

Following that was a session of camwhoring among all of us.

After a couple of hours, we couldn’t stand the cold and went to look for food! We also went back to the same restaurant as our first day in Hangzhou – the Lao Hangzhou.

Our next destination was supposed to be Xixi Wetlands, but by the time we were there, there were nobody in sight, and it seemed that the place was closed. We just walked around to take some pictures and left.

Oh, let me show you the black knight that was ferrying us for the whole week we were in China! The Black Buick belonging to the Zhao’s! Ever so sleek and shiny and sturdy. We really did spend many a good time in the car, travelling from one province to another.

I even had some good times sleeping in it while on the move.

And finally, we went to the West Lake for one last time to take pictures. Taking pictures during dusk definitely gives a different atmosphere compared to the day time. Everything just looks gloomy and warm, somewhat.

Soon, it was time for dinner. We only had an hour for dinner before we had to leave for the airport, so we decided to eat at Starway Hotel restaurant itself.

Our dinner
Dinner was wonderful, not only because of the food, but because of the awesome company and laughter that we had. It was heart-wrenching to say good bye to this wonderful couple who made us feel at home during the whole week we were in China. They made sure every needs of us were catered for, and fetched us everywhere without complaints. Perhaps they are angels in disguise.
We left for the airport right after dinner, and took some last pictures before bidding farewell.

We’re looking forward to welcome the Zhao’s to Malaysia soon. Hopefully they’re able to make time to visit us and our country.
Til then, Goodbye Hangzhou, Xi Tang, Shanghai and Suzhou!
