As promised, here are more pictures from my ROM on the 3rd of October 2009, also on the mooncake festival day! I have to thank Jessica for the pictures here, without which I wouldn’t have managed to capture all the special moments. This is Saucer when we just reached the Chin Woo Association in Ipoh, where our ROM was being held. I thought he looked dashing with the black tie and the white shirt.

This was me, I was actually pretty nervous! *LOL*

I loved the backdrop that the people put up on the stage. The Chinese words apparently meant something, but I can’t read Chinese, too bad.

My birth date in the background!
Look at the hordes of people on that day! There were 31 couples in total getting married on that day, in addition to their families and friends. The place was definitely crowded!

Attendees on that day
We took the chance to camwhore before the stage was being filled up by people.

Before long, we were asked to sit down since the ceremony was about to begin. Halfway through, someone called me from the aisle, asking me to go out to meet her. I was caught by surprise, thinking that perhaps something went wrong with my registration or forms. *gasp* Saucer went out with me, only to find out that she was a journalist! Apparently, she found out that my birthday fell on the same day, hence she was interested to interview me for her newspaper. How cool is that! Once she started, more and more of her fellow reporters came over to join in the fun. They were from the major Chinese newspapers in Malaysia. Most of them asked me questions on why we chose that date, who came along with us, how we met, what we liked about each other, etc.

When the interview ended, we were asked to pose for pictures.

After that, we went back to our seats. Only to be called up again shortly to take a group picture at the stage.

Can you spot us in the group picture? If you can’t, here is a close up shot below.

My uni bestie Szu Ann also came for the occasion!

Finally, after waiting for almost 2 hours, it was our turn! Both of us went up to the front table with our parents as witnesses.

Parents and us
We were first asked to read our oaths to each other.

I promise to love you …
Then, came the signing ceremony. No turning back!

What’s next?
After that, it was ring-changing ceremony. I placed Saucer’s ring on his finger and he did on mine.

And a kiss from my new husband!

A kiss!
And that’s how it’s done! We’re officially MARRIED.
